About the Artist
LUIS RODRIGO MEDINA
Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 1973. He studied in 1980 with Miguel A. López Medina at CEDART-INBA. In 1990 at El Nigromante (INBA) in San Miguel Allende, Gto.; at the School of Fine Arts of U de G. and at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas. In Guadalajara his teachers were: Luis E. González, Raymundo Ramírez and Genaro Velázquez. In Guanajuato he studied with: Luis Nishisawa; In Mexico City with Pedro Medina Guzmán "El Charro" and with Patricia Soriano at San Carlos. Luis Rodrigo Medina Caraballo began his studies and contact with the artistic world at an early age. He took a year-long study trip to Europe and Cameroon in Central Africa in 1996, strengthening his artistic vocation, delving into various disciplines such as: scenographic design, modeling, drawing, watercolor, and printmaking. He studied in San Miguel Allende, Gto. and in Mexico City, where he spent a year in the human figure drawing workshop with Pedro Medina Guzmán.
